The location was great, central to shopping, restaurants, and city sites. The owner is very nice and does her best to accommodate your every need.
There were a couple of very minor issues, easily fixed for little or no money at all, that didn't work, or were "rigged" to work temporarily. This caused major undo aggravation.
Hospitality, location, design of the room
A bit noisy. Too much light from 5 A.M.
Great position, lovely staff and very good accommodation. Breakfast at the local boulangerie is excellent.
Gaelle, the owner, is a wonderful person, and she gave me a lot of good tips on where to go and where to eat in and around Sablon.
The lady of the reception, friendship and helpful. The space of the room and the comfort of the queen bed
The weakness of wifi on the third floor
A great experience in the Villa Sablon, perfectly well located in the best neigberhood of Brussels, so Awesome rooms, great welcome from the owner, breakfast so delicious in Wittamer, everything was perfect.Nice to know : it is not a hotel so reception has opening hours but you can arrive anytime with a digitcode, great.
I couldn't recomend this hotel to my frends.
The decor is beautiful with very fine and latest items and the lady in charge was really welcoming and helpful!
I missed having a reception just in case anything goes wrong during the night, thus it made me feel a little insecure and unsafe. Furthermore, I booked a room with terrace but this was only access to a roof from my room facing the internal yard, with no fencing!
Location, style, the girl at the reception unbelivable friendly and ready to help
Lovely room, quiet street, location in the center of Brussels Sablon/museum district
Not your typical b$b in that there is no big house that is available to you. This is not necessarily a problem. If you are a pretty independent traveler, it is near perfect.
Friendly relaxing atmosphere. Very good location. Good contact with hosts. Helpfull. Good, clean and spacious room.
Breakfast was in nearby restaurant not in the guest house.
Very quite but central location. Very friendly personal. Good layout of the room.
The staircase is a little bit narrow and specially when it is dark, it is not so easy to find the way the first time.
Great location, cosy atmosphere and nice design of the room. Really good idea for a weekend in the best location in Brussels.
No fridge in the rooom.
Very nice minimalistic B&B run by an absolutely charming and energetic lady. The breakfast was at patisserie Wittamer (2 danish, coffee/tea and fresh orange juice) but the B&B will set up sort of a breakfast room instead of the shop they currently have at ground floor.
Stairs are a bit steep because it's an old house (tastefully renovated) so bringing a lot of luggage isn't recommended...
This is a nice place, good sized room, big walk-in shower. Comfy bed, flat screen TV (although mostly French/Flemish channels). Water heater (coffie, tea) in the room is a nice touch. However, beware of the steep stairs (they do help you with the luggage). It's in a small quiet side street, close to many restaurants and shops. Breakfast is in a cafe near-by for a low flat fee. Owners live somewhere else and you get a key for after-hours entry.
I was there on business for 1 night and needed the (included) internet connection. However, wi-fi did not work in my room (2nd floor), signal strength was too low. The connection via supplied ethernet cable also did not work. I did not have time to test it at check-in and at night you are pretty much on your own and I was out of luck there.
